Breaking your MacBook is stressful, but the repair shouldn't be. Follow our easy step-by-step process to get your MacBook fixed
Simply book your required service on our website ('Book Your Repair' button in top menu), and we will email packaging instructions along with a label you can use to get this across to us from any UK Post Office, tracked and insured. Need a box or the label to be posted? Just select this if booking an assessment, or let us know after booking a repair.
If you have booked an assessment (diagnostic, liquid recovery service, etc), we check it and will provide your quote in up to 5 working days. If you have directly booked a repair (screen replacement, battery replacement, etc), we fully test it prior to carrying out the booked repair and will let you know if we notice any other issues.
Once we get the approval after the assessment, we carry out the repair and ship this back to you by DPD. If you have booked it in for a specific repair instead, we will repair and ship this out, unless we notice any other issues during the check process. Shipped back via DPD, tracked and insured with a 12 month warranty.

We at eFix Ltd offer a premium service at affordable rates, exclusively repairing MacBooks only, and have been operating for over 10 years. We carry out the complex repairs some companies don’t take on, and also receive a lot of work from other repair shops who don't want to invest into learning MacBook repair.
We are MacBook specialists through and through, and we only repair MacBooks daily (we don't fix phones, tablets and other devices, like most repair shops), which is why most customers choose to use us. Quite frankly, most devices generic repair shops receive are phones, and they therefore lack the experience with MacBooks that we have, along with tools and part stock, since many will only work on a handful MacBooks a month (possibly less). We strive to keep the majority of parts in stock for all MacBooks; screen panels, backlight sheets, trackpads, keyboards, batteries and even smaller parts like lid sensors, audio boards and cables. This means you are not waiting for a part to arrive in, and the turnaround time is based on our repair queue, with no surprises caused by a shipping delay of the part.
We provide a fantastic service and make it as easy as possible, from booking to getting your Mac back repaired with a 12 month warranty. We offer a fast turnaround and also include a free insured postage both ways (mainland UK). We operate on a no fix, no fee basis; if we can't fix it, you don't pay for anything, not even the insured postage both ways (some exclusions apply, click here for details).
On top of all of this, we have a proven track record and lots of happy customers; you are sending your MacBook to a company who knows their stuff and cares. Don't risk sending it elsewhere!
1. Book it via our website and send it to us. Click here to start, select your issue, select your model (model number found on the bottom of your MacBook) and then click the book repair button. If you can't find your issue, contact us and we'll give you a quote. Once booked, you will receive an instant automated email with your unique order number and instructions. Shortly after, you will receive another email from us with your insured label (within opening hours), so you can get your MacBook across to us. Package your MacBook up securely, following the provided instructions, include a note of your order number inside the packaging and seal this up. Stick our label to the outer box and drop it off at your local Post Office to start its journey. If you don't have suitable packaging, we can ship you some at an additional charge; just call or email us after booking it in.
2. We fix/diagnose your MacBook. You will be kept up to date throughout the process of us receiving your MacBook, right up until the point where we ship it out to you. If you have booked this for one of our diagnostic services or liquid recovery service, we will contact you within 5 working days of receipt to give you a price on getting this fixed in our Standard Service. Repairs are usually then 2-3 working days to carry out in most cases, depending on the repair required, but we'll advise on the timescale once checked over. If booking directly for a repair (screen replacement, keyboard replacement, battery replacement, etc) the repair time is stated on that page, and is usually up to 7 working days, with some more complex repairs being up to 10 working days. We offer a faster Express Service on nearly all diagnostic and repair services, contact us if this is urgent for more information.
3. Receive your fixed MacBook. We will email tracking once it has been fixed and shipped out using DPD, to be delivered directly to you. DPD offer lots of options with the return delivery (deliver to pick up point, change delivery date, deliver to neighbour, etc), with full tracking on their website, and an hour time slot for the day of delivery in most cases.
That's it! It's easy to get your MacBook fixed with us, but if you have any difficulties or questions, don't hesitate to get in touch.

If you are in Peterborough, or happy to make the journey to us, you are more than welcome to drop your MacBook in within our opening hours. Simply give us a call or email beforehand, so we know to expect you, and there is no need to book it in via our website.
Even if you are not nearby, you can drop it off with us; we have regularly had customers come from London, Birmingham, Manchester and further, if they prefer to hand deliver their MacBook in person.
Once booked in, you receive an email with instructions explaining how to package this up safely, and get this to us. In summary, a sturdy cardboard box, lots of bubble wrap to cushion the MacBook, and we don't need any accessories (charger, cables, etc).
If you are sending it in for an assessment (diagnostic, liquid recovery service, etc), we quote up to 5 working days for the initial check and quote, and then 2-3 working days for most repairs, specified once assessed. If you are booking a repair, most are up to 7 working days on receipt, but we confirm the turnaround on the repair page.
Need it quicker? We offer an express service on assessments and repairs.
Not an issue; most customers reuse packaging from online purchases, or buy packaging at their local Post Office. Otherwise, we can ship packaging to you, along with the prepaid label, just contact us after booking to arrange this.
For modern MacBooks, there are two ways to properly test the functionality; access to an account on the MacBook, or erasing the data.
If providing the password to an account for testing, we have policies in place to protect customer data and this is only used to log in to check the functionality of the MacBook.
In newer OS versions, a diagnostic mode is available, however this isn't as accurate as manually checking the functionality. For example, it can falsely say a feature is working as intended since it is 'present' during the test, but manually testing this will show that it is not functioning correctly.

*Exclusions apply based on age of MacBook, prior repair attempts and more. Please click here for details. Insured postage both ways is covered by us within mainland UK, with paid options outside of this.
